The ASM metal wipers made of stainless steel are used when large, loose particles of dirt on the guideway need to be removed. The radial gap between the wiper and guideway is narrower than in the MR-4S front panel and is therefore designed in such a way that the particles cannot get stuck. The metal wipers are particularly effective when combined with additional ZCV wipers.
